How do I detail my sticky ooey gooey crusted car?
I want to clean my car on the inside for the very first time. Even when I bought it there were ooey gooey substances probably from coke in one of the compartments between the two front seats. They didn’t clean it when they sold it and I never cleaned it and I added to the mess. There’s dry crusted baking soda stuck on the carpet floor, there are other crusty substances on the floor. There are stains that are on the ceiling that were there when I bought it. I want to clean off the dust and dirt that’s on the other areas of the inside of my car. I have tried vacuuming the carpet but the vacuums don’t seem to suck up much. They especially don’t get the dirt that is in the dips in the seat–you know how they are designed not completely flat like a floor. I have tried dragging the dirt out with my nails but it doesn’t get everything. What tools do I need to clean every aspect of the inside of my car? I dont want to pay someone else to do it, I want to do it.
Some cars need special instructions. Volkswagens are designed to be cleaned with water only, no soap or anything else.
I alway use dish soap and hot water in a bucket for my cars. I sometimes use “Fantastic” household cleaner because it removes the real cruddy stuff. Use an industrial glass cleaner and paper towels for the glass. If the carpet is terrible I soak it with dish soap and use a nail brush to scrub it, works pretty good but not show car style.
