How much is it to fix broken door lock on GMC Canyon?
Someone tried to slimjim my truck when i locked in the keys and now the door won’t open from the outside even if the door is unlocked. when locked and keyed driver’s side still won’t open. Going to take the door panel off later and check it out but how much will it cost if I need to get new parts? Just need a price range to think about
Actually just realized it was the door handle i guess that broke. Door was unlocked, i locked it with the key, so the lock moves when i key it but the door handle won’t connect to open the door, and when i pull the handle it pulls easier than the passenger side. feels like it came unconnected or something?? I dont know jack about cars lol
You may just have to reconnect the rod to the lock cylinder, if damaged the cylinder could cost about 30.00 dollars, Grab a inspection mirror to see the cylinder and have a flash light handy.
