Well, I am a sixteen year old girl. I get my licence soon, so i am looking at buying myself a car.
I found a 2000 chevy Cavalier.
Body style: Sedan
Mileage: 63463
Engine: 4 Cyl.
Trans: Automatic
Exterior Color: RED
Interior Color: GRAY
24- City and 34 – hwy milage
and it only has this in it so nothing special–
-AM/FM Radio
-Air Conditioning
-Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
-Bucket Seats
-Center Console
-Cloth Upholstery
-Daytime Running Lights
-Dual Air Bags
-Intermittent Wipers
-Power Steering
-Rear Window Defroster
-Tinted or Privacy Glass
and if the windows are tinted, its not very much.
Its for sale at a dealership. They want $5,495.
But in my opinion its not worth that much.
I looked at KBB and its Blue Book value is about 3800.
What would you say its worth? If i was going to spend 6k on a car
id just go but an ’06 or something…

Yeah, that is wayyyy over priced for a 10 yr old car. Around Atlanta they sell for $2000-3000, maybe a touch more for the Z24 package and low miles.
Even at $3800 its still priced high, and the chance a car dealer will come down $1700 is small. I’d find another car unless you really love this one, then make them a low ball offer and see what happens. I wouldn’t waste too much time on it.
For $6000 you can buy a Chevy Cobalt which is better than a Cavi in every way.
