need to work on older chevy suburban?
im going to be workin on a 1984 chevy suburban, its going to be switched over to a propane engine after i get a few things done with it so what all should i replace as far as the engine goes? what things need to be done to make it like new again?
If you’re going to propane, make sure the heads and valves are in good shape, and the cooling system is perfect. The valves on propane motors last forever if they are in good shape to begin with, but if they’re carboned up or otherwise borderline, the propane system will cause you grief. Likewise the cooling system, especially if you live where it gets below freezing temps in the winter.
